Have you ever wished for every day to be your birthday? What if that wish came true? What if it was NOT one of the best days of your life?
Amanda and Leo share a birthday, and they have always celebrated their birthdays together. On their 10th birthday, they have a falling out, and they don't speak to each other for a year. Then, the day after their 11th birthday, they wake up to find it's their 11th birthday--again! Amanda has a rotten day on her first 11th birthday, and she has to repeat it over and over until they figure out together how to end the cycle. A mix of realistic fiction (true-type relationship problems) and fantasy (repeating days, really?), this story was enthralling from the beginning to the end. One of the reasons I became an elementary school librarian is so I can read children's books.
