![]() In the first book in Cornelia Funke's Ghosthunters Series, nine-year-old Tom is being haunted by a gooey ghost in the basement of his parents' house. He can't figure out what to do about it, so he asks his grandmother's best friend, who turns out to be a famous Ghost Hunter. With his grandma's friend, he learns how to deal with the Averagely Spooky Ghost (ASG) in the cellar, but what happens when the two of them meet the Incredibly Revolting Ghost (IRG) in town? In Ghosthunters and the Incredibly Revolting Ghost! (Lexile: 760; Interest Level: Grades 2-4), the reader will learn some ways to deal with ghosts, right along with Tom. This book is only a little spooky, even with the ghost theme, and it is HILARIOUS! I couldn't stop laughing as I read about Tom and his ghost. Anyone who enjoys funny stories will enjoy this series, and anyone who wants a ghost story that isn't really scary should check this one out. (144 pages)
