![]() I hope you have all had a wonderful summer! I have been trying to get a couple more books-for-fun read before we get started with our learning. I love the summer for the time I can spend choosing books for me. In my first blog post, I talked about reading the Fablehaven series. I am still reading them. I have finished Grip of the Shadow Plague and Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary. I sure don't think I would be brave enough to head into a special land reserved for dragons. Especially knowing that dragons don't have to obey rules like "you shouldn't kill your guests"! This book kept me on the edge of my seat as Kendra, Warren, Tanu, Trask, and Gavin and others went in search of the dragon temple to recover a key to the dragon prison. Oh, and Seth stowed away on the trip by hiding in the magical knapsack storage room. They found some unexpected allies along the way, but they also discovered a traitor in their midst! ![]() This weekend I will finish reading Keys to the Demon Prison. I am currently about halfway through, and boy is there some crazy stuff! While Seth was imprisoned at Last Mirage, he met up with some old friends and made friends with a unicorn. He escapes after a rescue mission goes awry, and the choices he makes changes the whole game! Now with a demon on the loose and artifacts in the wrong hands, Seth has to figure out how to save the rest of his family, all of whom were captured while trying to rescue him. I am almost afraid to finish this book because I can't see how the good guys are going to win!
